giveaway!

Because I get by with a little help from my friends...

Win a FREE PHOTO SHOOT!

How to enterLeave a comment on this post. That's it!
Share one of your favorite things (like Spring's arrival) or words of wisdom. Please leave your comment by February 16th, 2010 by 5 p.m. PST. The winner will be randomly selected and announced Friday, February 19th. The portrait session* can be of just you, your family or your friends, and is good for the Portland and Seattle area only. Sorry folks - if I could fly to faraway places, I would in a heartbeat. Trust me! With that said, if you live outside of the area, you can always give away your portrait session as a gift to a local. Tell your friends! I wouldn't be here without the support of my pals, so thank you for spreading the word!
* Session includes 1-2 hour shoot and selection of high resolution edited images on Archival DVD.
(Sorry Charlie - family not eligible).

Hi Kimi! I just told my friend Whitney about you and your site. She's going to check it out. If I win your giveaway, I'll give the session to her since, sadly, I'm nowhere near you.

Hello Kimberly,
I have just shared your blog and website with a friend who is an artist in Ashland, Oregon. She does beautiful print work and also happens to be a lovely woman. Thank you for offering the opportunity to enter a giveaway of your portraiture!

Hooray, I'm still eligible to enter!! I recognize that kite! Maybe I'll win and you'll get to shoot another session with Grumpy McGrumperson.

What lovely photos! I love the couple on a rainy, grainy, Oregon night. Would love a chance to win a portrait session. I haven't much wisdom to share, but one of my favorite things is the daily stroll in the garden in spring to watch ferns unfurling...

Hi Kimi,
I was directed to your website by a facebook post by your dutiful good brother and have spent an enjoyable 1/2 hour paging through. Very nice!

Hi Kimi, heard about this from Jody. One of my favorite things is the giant purr of a tiny kitten. I'm also a big fan of chenille, almost any song where the drummer uses timpani mallets, tiny wild strawberries, desert thunderstorms, the smell of crushed garlic, typewriters and singalongs. I'm a big fan of your work - Jody collects such rad people!

Hi Kimi...love your work. Thanks cousin Jody for introducing me to another wonderous artist.

The quote that comes to mind when I see your work is "it's all how we capture light", from a song by Jerry Joseph.

Thanks for the beauty. -Nancy O'Halloran

Reminded of one of the things I love yesterday: The Olympic spirit. We went to Vancouver to see Short Track speed skating and walk around town. The buzz was awesome and the event inspiring. Forget medal counts, just breath in the feeling!

Kimi: Bobby gave me a heads up on the promotion you are running. The pictures you took for Billie Sue and him looked amazing and since I'm getting married around the same time I thought I'd leave a comment and see if I win.

One of my favorite things is the smell of the world after a fresh rain. Fortunately, we have that just about everyday here in Seattle!

One of my favorite things is arguing with your brother, Bobby. Hopefully that's not too callous a selection to win me some free photos . . .

Hey Kimi -

Long time no see :) Love your "Between Twilight" series - really beautiful stuff (and i'm always amazed at how many tones of grey there are - BW work can be so breathtaking).

We should "talk shop" again sometime - maybe next time you're up here (or if we win!!)

Hope all is well with you!

Hi Kimi!
Well, we had two baby showers and haven't received a portrait session with you yet (darn--and my fingers were crossed so tight!). Thanks for another chance at it!
My favorite things (as of this moment):
My husband and soon to be baby daddy, Troy, whose nesting instinct is at least as strong as mine, and that's really saying something.
The weird feeling of something kicking me on the inside.
The smell of daphne, telling us that spring is soon.
The sunlight, gobbling it up and knowing that for now, it's fleeting.
Roast chicken, which I wasn't into before I was pregnant (and I find that fascinating).
Sweets and treats (see above).
Spending a whole day curled up with a book.
Spending a whole day in the kitchen, cooking up feasts.
Feeling utterly full of life. (and being so in love with someone I haven't yet met).
That's probably enough... for now.
