a year...time for a giveaway!

 

I am fairly new to the world of blogging, and I am happy to say that this month marks a year of this blog. It has been a fun challenge, and has brought be back to my enjoyment of writing, pushed me to try new things, meet people, and share ideas - all through the love of photography. Thank you to all of you who take the time to look, to read and to listen. And, your sweet comments send me over the moon! Many more projects are in the works for this coming year, and I am anxious to share them with you. Please stay tuned... It also marks my three years in Portland, so I feel that it is time to give thanks and celebrate...with a giveaway!

amy + bryan: hitched!

The love between Amy + Bryan radiates. They are two of the most kind, gentle souls I have ever met with beautifully open hearts. Their celebration was honest, loving and true, and bathed in golden sunlight at Laurel Ridge Winery. Thank you so much to Lisa Teso for inviting me to shoot with her. To the newlyweds, it was an honor to be part of your special celebration with your amazing family and friends. Thank you and I send you my very best wishes. Congratulations you two.

Together, we are chronicling this lovely lady's pregnancy. I had the pleasure of meeting Brittany when I photographed her and her talented husband, Ron. And now, their "we" becomes three and I am so happy to document the journey along the way. I have been wanting to do a project like this for quite some time and I am challenging myself to do it all with film in an attempt to become more comfortable with the Land Camera, which is a work in progress! (See my first attempt here).  Brittany, I am so excited about this collaboration with you! This is just the beginning...

pam + aaron: engaged!

For her engagement photographs, Pam was sure of two things. She loved the view of beloved Portland from OHSU and she was inspired by the magic of Max Wanger. (I was excited about this idea because I am constantly moved by his photographs - with their simple, yet poignant beauty, their radiance and the emotional sweetness that permeates his work). Pam + Aaron, thanks for a fun filled time on that sun-drenched summer evening. Keep on laughing together. Congratulations on your engagement and all the best wishes for your wedding in Thailand!

sarah + ben: hitched!

 

Homegrown. Heartfelt. Happiness.  Sarah + Ben became husband and wife on a bright, sunshiny day in June on a charming family farm. What I really love about this couple, is not only the love I see between these two, but the deep respect and friendship they share with each other. It is something quite special to witness. Sarah + Ben, thank you so much for letting me be part of your wedding day. It was such a pleasure to be with you and your families. Congratulations and enjoy this sweet time.
