rachel + matt

Meet Rachel + Matt. Like me, they are native Texans who migrated to Portland. On a very chilly morning, we were able to reminisce about our Lone Star State. We expressed our love for our Northwest digs, and also commiserated about our longing for good Tex-Mex (queso please), intense sunshine and bluebonnets in the spring. Even though our bones were freezing, we had a good time along the waterfront and ended up at one of their favorite places, Ground Kontrol. Now, these two are warm, welcoming and sweet as peach pie. But, get them in the arcade and they turn serious about their games. They are adorable if I may say so myself.

Rachel + Matt, I had a great time with you. Thank you for bringing all of your fun ideas to the shoot, and for being troopers in the wind and the cold (especially on that bridge).

harmony + javier: engaged!

Congrats to Harmony + Javier on their engagement! He asked for her hand in marriage while they were traveling abroad, on a picnic, savoring time with each other over good food and a bottle of Prosecco. They wanted to preserve that special memory by weaving it into their engagement shoot. To you both, what a joy it was to witness the laughter and friendship that exists between you two.  Congratulations and I can't wait to document your wedding day. Oh and Javier, thanks for all of the wonderful music!

tess + adam: engaged!

Congratulations to Tess + Adam on their recent engagement! For their shoot, they wanted iconic imagery of Portland that makes this place feel like home. So, we headed down to the waterfront, and from sunset into evening, enjoyed the cityscape of our Rose City. Tess and I met while working at a coffee shop, and when you have to be at work at 4:00 am, it's really nice when you enjoy who you are working with, especially for that sunrise shift. Let's just say that Tess and I had an understanding about each other's morning behavior.  It was so wonderful to meet her husband-to-be Adam. It is so much fun to witness the two of them together. To you both, thank you for a fantastic sunny evening. Oh, and Adam, what a gentleman you are, insisting to help carry my equipment. Thank you. Can't wait for your wedding in the spring!

amy + bryan: hitched!

The love between Amy + Bryan radiates. They are two of the most kind, gentle souls I have ever met with beautifully open hearts. Their celebration was honest, loving and true, and bathed in golden sunlight at Laurel Ridge Winery. Thank you so much to Lisa Teso for inviting me to shoot with her. To the newlyweds, it was an honor to be part of your special celebration with your amazing family and friends. Thank you and I send you my very best wishes. Congratulations you two.
