lauren + aaron: expecting.

These two have been on my mind, as I believe their little one should be arriving any day now. Here are a few from our morning together at the very end of October, in Laurelhurst Park. It was beautifully blanketed by yellow leaves, and the trees were gorgeous and golden. Lauren + Aaron, thank you for a lovely, peaceful morning and I send you my very best wishes with your newest addition to the family.

Together, we are chronicling this lovely lady's pregnancy. I had the pleasure of meeting Brittany when I photographed her and her talented husband, Ron. And now, their "we" becomes three and I am so happy to document the journey along the way. I have been wanting to do a project like this for quite some time and I am challenging myself to do it all with film in an attempt to become more comfortable with the Land Camera, which is a work in progress! (See my first attempt here).  Brittany, I am so excited about this collaboration with you! This is just the beginning...

new mama.

Allow me to introduce my special friend and new mama, Jayme. We have known each other since the fourth grade, and have shared several dance performances, plays, growing pains, college years, and our weddings. It is such a privilege to now be witness to one of the most amazing milestones in her life - motherhood. We had a lot of fun at her maternity shoot - as usual, we shared a lot of laughs, especially when her cat insisted on being in every shot. Have you ever tried to direct a cat? She had a healthy baby girl a little over a week after this shoot. I can't wait to meet the little beauty.
